I pluck hair. I won't go into detail.

But my gosh, for older folks, it is tough. Like finding a young sprout to help you. Maybe here you can find that someone to help. BUT DO THAT in messaging. I'm sure someone has to live close by you.

Is there a policy in this stuff?
we manage...so far...our daughter and our son in law are only 10 miles...we go slow...
thanks

I want a live in massage therapist but my wife won't let me have one. The perfect morning would be to crawl out of be onto a table. Then while working out my stiff back they start a coffee IV. 40 ounces of coffee later and I would be ready for the day.
well..we're like model T's...
sitting on the couch drinking coffee...spittin and sputterin ....til we get cranked...then...out the door..ha!

You can get off the couch? If I sit on the couch I might be able to get off in time for lunch.
we can stay there too! especially if there's a fire going...cold out...our lil dog gets carried out...coated up...short trip out....right back in on her heated blanket..she's old now..all we got...now.
there's feral cats up a ways...we feed them every morn...hot food...cold here...we bundle up and shoot out the door...back to fill bird feeders...we will do this long as we can

Went to town today to buy a new Side by Side ATV. $9,000 ! My first new car was only $2,300. Gave $2,600 for a mower last spring. Insane prices . I guess it'd good to be old as won't have to put up with this crap much longer.

BTW : Sunflower seeds are $30 a bag this yr. Birdies will have to forage on their own. The tree rats steal the seeds anyway.

Define "old." LOL

I am a bit older than when I first started out on the homesteading adventure. My mind doesn't think that 20 years have passed, but my body... oh, my body.... <sigh>

Welcome aboard, @tothemax!

Welcome.

Interesting point. Maybe we should start a thread to see who the oldest member is.

I bet I would be near the top . . .
Oldest member? Me. I sat behind Moses in 3rd grade. Come to think of it, he still owes me a nickel because he forgot his milk money one day.

I agree with the 20 yrs. Glad I retired when I was 50. There is no way I could get what I have done in the last 22 yrs now.
Dude, maybe you ARE as old as rocks! ;)

This suet feeder is awesome! I have 2 of them and squirrels can't get into the suet. It keeps Starlings out too. The Starlings can get some of the suet but not easily enough that they stick around.

I bought this one from Lowes. I should have bought 2. The price had doubled when I went back for a second. This one has metal guards around the feeding ports. To ensure further squirrel resistance you can use pliers to remove the metal perches. Birds can still cling to the metal frame.

I can't remember who makes it. I'll have to look on mine tomorrow. Walmart carries it too.

This one was from Walmart. I don't like the design. Since the ports are a couple inches above the bottom of the feeder it never empties completely. I have to dump the seed out and clean it every month to keep it from getting really icky.

Looking at that picture I see the ports are closer to the bottom of the hopper. Maybe they redesigned it. Metal ports keep squirrels from chewing their way into the feeder. As a plus, House Sparrows don't like it very much.
