We're old too. 3 dogs, 30 chickens and gardens. If you get too bored I have some old hens that need plucked.

So you ARE experienced at plucking. Good, How far away from Missouri?

I pluck hair. I won't go into detail.

But my gosh, for older folks, it is tough. Like finding a young sprout to help you. Maybe here you can find that someone to help. BUT DO THAT in messaging. I'm sure someone has to live close by you.

Is there a policy in this stuff?

Kids have no idea of what work is now. Plucking chickens? No way they would do that. Easier to just go to KFC. For other jobs it takes me longer to explain how to do something than just do it myself. Sad part is I don't have the physical strength or energy to accomplish much anymore. It gets done but takes me a lot longer.

I am in good shape except for my back. Takes 1/2 hr in the mornings on a heating pad with a few OTC pills to get going.
Now my wife says my brain has failed too but not sure about that .LOL>

I want a live in massage therapist but my wife won't let me have one. The perfect morning would be to crawl out of be onto a table. Then while working out my stiff back they start a coffee IV. 40 ounces of coffee later and I would be ready for the day.

You can get off the couch? If I sit on the couch I might be able to get off in time for lunch.

Went to town today to buy a new Side by Side ATV. $9,000 ! My first new car was only $2,300. Gave $2,600 for a mower last spring. Insane prices . I guess it'd good to be old as won't have to put up with this crap much longer.

BTW : Sunflower seeds are $30 a bag this yr. Birdies will have to forage on their own. The tree rats steal the seeds anyway.

I agree with the 20 yrs. Glad I retired when I was 50. There is no way I could get what I have done in the last 22 yrs now.

I used to get up feeling like a million bucks. Now I feel like a bounced check when I climb out of bed.

Squirrel resistant feeders are worth every penny. I had gone through several before I found ones that really work.
