Yesterday we were flying kites on the beach in North Carolina.
DH managed to let go of one of them! :help:

Son-in-law did his best to catch up with the trailing ball of string but it was out over the ocean and the waves slowed him down.
    He couldn't catch it.

Once the ball of string hit the waves it provided just enough tension to keep the kite flying ---- we watched it heading south east until it was out of sight.

If you live along the coast watch for it.
    It's a 30 foot long dragon.

But then, at the rate it was flying, it may be in Cuba by now.

I'm just happy it wasn't the one with the 100 foot long tail!

Next time I won't trust him with anything other than the 99 cent kite.

Wow! Sounds like a really nice kite! Too bad it got away from you. You remind me that I have a kite somewhere in this house . . . I should get it out on the next breezy day. :)

I used to love flying kites at the beach. Those ocean breezes are wonderful for catching kites.
