Anyone have Linebackers?

    Just curious ... saw one on a small farm while I was out testing. Nice cow. Interesting markings! (What are they descended from?)

    WOW! I had no idea they were so rare! (The tester I was working with did mention that he tests 5,000 cows a month, and there is only one Linebacker in the bunch.)

    There is supposedly a second "lineback" registry, however it is for animals who exhibit the lineback color pattern and not a breed association. The lineback color or finching really isn't that uncommon and is a trait in several breeds, the Pinzgauer for example. It often pops up in crossbreds. The Randall Lineback, however is a pure breed and like the site says, quite rare. I have seen one in person and they are beautiful animals.
