Hubby is going there in January with our DD and would like to see how the farms are in that part of the country and visit if possible. We farm in eastern CO. Give me a PM if you are interested.

You might try this one. It's over in BrattleBoro (35-40m east)

I know there are others in that area but don't know any names. Most I know are further north.

It is beatiful country and a nice little town. I wouldn't want to live there simply because its to close to taxachuetts, which drives up land prices and population.

If you need to spend any time in a motel I suggest the knotty pine. We always stay there a few nights when we travel up there. It's usually about $70 a night and they have a kitchenette or 2. Book ahead though they stay busy.

or if you're inclined to do some camping then about 20 miles north (Arlington) is "camping on the battenkill"

They have some very nice sites. I can't remeber if its site 14 or 19 that sits about 20 ft from the water. Its also at the junction where another branch joins. Very peaceful and easy to fall asleep to the sound.

This place is about $20 a night for tent and I think $23 for camper w electric/water. They also have hot showers!!
