Just wondering if any saw any movies over the holidays.....we were able to see We are Marshall.........what a great movie! I was very impressed and would recommend anyone to see it! I was aware of the story line, but honestly had not seen much advertising for the movie. If you haven't seen it, I would make a point of catching it before it is gone.....

I am normally a "catch it when it comes out on DVD" person, but this was worth the price.....(actually matinee price!)

Watched 'Night at the Museum'. Really enjoyed it.
I intend to buy the DVD when it comes out.

My DS11 went with his friend and her mom to see Happy Feet. They all liked it.

We also saw Night at the Museum and loved it...now when my kids argue, I intercept with "Who's evolved?" which makes them laugh and slink away.

Our whole family went to watch Eragon and it was quite good, DS11 and I are mega fantasy buffs and we both really enjoyed it. I just can't resist dragons, lol! Also, I live near Huntington, WV and actually saw them film part of "We are Marshall". I am also a Marshall alumnae, Go herd!

We saw Blood Diamond. A good action movie and Jennifer Connelly is easy on the eyes. The plot was rather thin though.

Dream Girls--great movie with fantastic music.

I skipped We Are Marshall--went there, wasn't sure I'd be too good with it. I attended just a few years after the event depicted. I had family that went and all loved it. Maybe I'll do the DVD...

We went to see Happy Feet, Charlottes Web, and A Night at the Museum. The last one we got 10 free tickets from Lowes (holiday promotion), so my family, my friends family and two other friends went with us. We laughed so hard.

We loved Happy Feet and bought the soundtrack for that one.

Charlottes Web was sweet. Very well done.

I want to see the Prestige, but it's hard for us to see movies alone. We normally have our kids in tow and I won't take them to see stuff like that.

I also want to see Eragon...we'll have to wait on that one though.

We are Marshall, we'll probably go see.

My two sons (and their wives) dragged me to see "Rocky Balboa". I liked
it more than I thought I would. Its sad to think that I saw the first one
three times when it came out back in 1976 or so. Where does ALL the time
go! Anyone that is a Rocky fan will enjoy it.

We went to see "The Nativity" at the local movie theatre. Christian businessmen paid for the show --144 tickets per day for five days I think.

    It was good.

I was going to take my nieces and nephew to see "Charlotte"s Web" but they got sick.

I hear ya. The action sequences are far more impressive in the theatre.

But this time the restroom had a toilet overflow and someone spilled their pop in the theatre. My shoes literally stuck to the theatre floor and ugh, the bathroom floor. Restroom looked clean, didn't smell clean! Gag.
Had the other women laughing when I said out loud while washing my hands 'I REFUSE to think about why my shoes are stuck to the floor right now'.

We went and saw In Pursuit of Happyness. Great movie. Love Will Smith and will probably watch it again when the DVD comes out. We don't go out anywhere for New Years Eve but instead rented Little Miss Sunshine. Funny movie. When my children were little we used to drive a Volkswagon bus so I know the feeling of pushing one.

Unfortunately, not me. I tried too, but I'm not as fast anymore as I used to be. :Bawling:

    We saw:
    Happy Feet (great!! and really funny!);

The Pursuit of Happyness (should be a mandatory viewing for anybody who thinks they are down on their luck --- Excellent story!)

We Are Marshall (now among my most favorite movies!)

Eragon (we liked it and hope they make "Eldest" soon)

We also just saw on DVD:
The Devil Wears Prada (loved it!)

Lady in the Water (great story about how lives are entertwined and hope)

    The Lake House (great!!)

Memoirs of a Geisha (excellent!! I'd liked it even better if I could have understood what they were saying half the time. I have a hard time with accents)

    Rumor Has It (really funny)
