I am not into herp but my daughter is.The has a chameleon and some kind of lizard that stays under the sand in his cage. They are happy when she is gone all day, and quality time includes her holding them and feeding them wax worms
At my place down in Arizona, rattlesnakes often come into the yard, and there is a king snake (red touches black "friend to jack" red touches yellow "kill a fellow") that lives under an old chest freezer in the hay shed. Sorry, no pictures. When ever I see a rattlesnake, I an too busy doing something else to take pictures.
I'd love to have a rainbow boa, but probably won't ever get around to it. We don't have any wild snakes where I live, but 2 hours away is a different story.
Was invited to a friend's place, and this girl who would eventually become my sister-in-law just reached unto the grass and pulled this out. Garter snakes were everywhere that day, see them up there every summer now.
I have had an interest in cold blooded (poikilothermic) animals since I was in grade school. Since we retired from our Bullfrog farm a little over a year ago we only have a dog and three cats. I still get to
"play" with the Bullfrogs now and then as I am the consultant for the current owners of the farm/business.
