First off I have never built anything except a skid composter and some raised beds.

I am wanting to build a quinea house, so my question is....how deep do I need to put my post in the ground?

At least below the frost line.

Check with your building dept for this info.
ours is 3ft.
if you dont you run the risk of your posts heaving upwards over time.

That makes sense. I will check it out. I am in the mid-south, so I don't think that the frost line would be very far. I had thought about digging them 12' to 18". I will check this out.

also talk to ur neighbors and find out what has worked for them and maybe what hasn't worked out so well. and go from there.
