Photos from our yard within the last 20 minutes or so.....
Just go out back and let a few rounds of----really---shoot at the sky----unless you want some bear steaks---you know---steaks without anything on them---you know "bear"."??? LOL
The Cinnamon one is cute.
If you have any more that show the feet-paws, I would enjoy seeing them. Thanks
My mom always said that you NEVER knew who'd used the dipper last...I guess she was right!
Geez, Maybe put up a sign for Trespassers - Beware of Guard Bears ! I bet any trespasser seeing that "gang" would seriously reconsider the idea of being there ! The real question is why are they there ? Is something attracting them or is something forcing them to be so close ?
We took down our bird feeder at least three weeks ago. And, there is nothing in the garden right now besides some asparagus and rhubarb.
We live in the middle of 40 acres of woods. Our nearest neighbor is about 3/8 mile from us. Across the county road from our 40 acres is a State Game Refuge. On one side of the 40 is a wetland and on the other side is barbwire fence. So, our yard is a corridor for wildlife traveling in and out of the refuge. We see deer everyday, we see several bear every spring, we've seen at least four timber wolves, and an occasional badger, porcupine, gray fox, and fisher. We're still waiting to see our first lynx, bobcat, and/or cougar in the yard.
I like the water pump photo........I am interested in photos that show the claws semi-retracted.
Bumpus! Come get your dogs!
Teddy Bear's picnic
Great shots - thanks for sharing!
We have Black Bear around here but have never seen more than one by itself. And it’s usually just after dusk and can’t get any good pics.
Is the cinnamon one a different species or just colored differently?
And I love how you described your place - my dream to be in the middle of the woods like that. My 6 acres are OK being I can’t see any neighbors but I have the feeling of wanting more space (land) lately.
How thrilling to see so many together. I thought that only happened in Alaska while fishing for Salmon.
Up the mountain from where I used to live, they were pretty destructive as the flatlanders up for the summer would think it was cute to leave food/garbage around for them.
Thank you for sharing. Beautiful pictures..... Living with nature.....
The Bear Family reunion.
Nice your so accommodating. I have tom turkey reunions, deer reunions and some times ducks in the creek.
What awesome pictures as long as they are in your yard and not mine
Neat to see! Do they ever try to break into your house?
