Is over..

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. moved one step closer to his goal of dismantling the nation’s premier public-health agency by dismissing more than 1,000 scientists, doctors and public health officials from the Department of Health and Human Services late Friday night.

The dramatic move came during the second week of a government shutdown and is part of the Trump administration’s aggressive push to even further slash the size of the federal workforce and punish Democrats. The culling reportedly started with at least 4,000 people across departments including Education, Treasury, Housing and Urban Development and Energy, among others.

But the bloodshed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was especially acute, according to a list crowdsourced by CDC employees who received layoff notices that was viewed by MSNBC. The firings ran across more than a dozen CDC divisions and centers, wiping out entire offices and teams that investigate disease outbreaks, manage infectious disease responses, collect data, publish scientific reports and communicate with global partners and Congress.

Looks like the anti mask, anti science crowd is happy.

“CDC is over. It was killed,” said Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, the former director of the CDC’s National Center on Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, who recently resigned to protest what he described as Kennedy’s unscientific takeover of the CDC. “This administration only knows how to break things. They have made America at risk for outbreaks and attacks by nefarious players. People should be scared.”

MSNBC spoke with eight current and former CDC officials, most of whom requested anonymity for fear of retaliation against themselves or their remaining colleagues.

The emails alerting staffers of their firings came late Friday night, but current and former employees said CDC staffers had been bracing for layoffs since President Donald Trump (bastard) signaled that he would use mass reductions in force as a way to punish Democrats for the ongoing shutdown, caused by a budget standoff between Republicans and Democrats.

"dismantling the nation’s premier public-health agency "

The US "keep em sick and on pills" system is really bad. Its not a healthcare system. Its a sick care system. It need fixing or even replacing because its totally broken.

A patient cured is a customer lost. There is no revenue stream from a bunch of healthy people.

'Public Health' doctors are often the most evil.

Who gave a group of men syphilis, and monitored them for decades as they slowly succumbed to the disease. And in the end, the entire program was canceled. All that suffering and death, for nothing.

Who took a known disease, studied it, genetic-modified it to 'weaponize' it, using tax-payer money, then hid what they had been doing and lied to cover it up?

You can't fix stupid. Public health should be headed by people who have actually studied medicine and health. Not by someone who studied the law (poorly) and claims a worm ate part of his brain.

I am constantly amazed by the number of people who vaccinate their herds, refuse entry on to their property to keep their animals safe, and then turn around and think the way to make America healthy is to NOT MONITOR infectious disease. Or now, any cause of death. Shuttering the mortality and morbidity committee is just plain stupid.

Say you have a cattle herd or flock of chickens, and some turn up dead. You WANT to know if a fox, a wolf, a cougar, poison, or a disease killed them. You want to KNOW, not opine politically.

Same thing with humans.

What junior wants to fix to make America healthy again is either (the good stuff he says) things that were taught in third grade health, or plain stupid.

Before you claim Tylenol (why doesn't he say acetominaphin?) causes autism if given at circumcision, can he prove Jewish males have a sky high autism rate? No? Then sit down, shut up, and go to med school. So what caused autism before the vaccines he used to blame or tylenol were even invented?

If you want to chase correlation as causation (never wise thing to do) then here is how to lower the rates of autism: stop counting every misbehaving kid as autistic, or every adult who somehow cannot get to work on time and hold a job. Reserve the label for the severely affected the way it historically was counted. Then have the mamas having babies while younger and better eggs are available, and let her stay home and gestate instead of the stress of a two paycheck family. And make sure the dad is young, because if you chase correlation you find older men tend to spawn more autistic kids.

No? Then if you want real science to really find out the cause, fire junior and learn the scientific method. That means you would ask "What causes autism" and NEVER EVER EVER say something as stupid as "Tylenol causes autism and we need some good quality studies to prove it."

Anyone who really wants to make America healthy again would teach the basics: adequate good quality sleep, adequate good quality physical exertion, no sex until married, eat the right amounts of the right real foods, and keep things clean. Stop sharing your germs. Nobody else wants them. Stay home if sick. Mask up if iffy. Get your shots.

Instead we have whiney babies that want to engage in risky behavior, eat junk out of a box that at most just needs nuking, stay up half the night, and live in filth and then bellyache that the health care system is broken.

It isn't nearly as broken as it is about to be. And docs cannot fix stupid.

Are you aware of how many Secretaries of Health and Human Services have been medical doctors?

Two.

One under Bush and one under,……. wait for it: Trump in his first term.

The FDA that we know of today was created after a pharmaceutical company chemist trying to market a new drug found the best way to administer the new drug was to dissolve it in a chemical solvent. The drug was manufactured, distributed, and more than 100 people died from taking it. The chemist had no idea the solvent he was working with was poisonous.

This is why government MUST be in the health care business!

Just eat healthy, exercise or work your body, the rest is mostly smoke and mirrors.

Yes, modern medicine CAN work some miracles. One grandchild was saved with cancer treatments, one is another miracle, and my husband has a donated kidney.

HOWEVER, the pharmacology industrial complex, the CDC, and the criminals who brought us the covid hoax are beyond despicable.

P.O.T.D!

Thank you.

People don't rise to high levels of political power based on stupidity. That is why movies like "Being There" are just movies.

Politics is synonymous with sewage, and during this "Drain the Swamp" tour, the effort is akin to adding sugar to a pot of feces.
