SR Genetics is the only place I know who deal in sheep AI. never used it myself but I've spoken with one of the owners and found him to be most helpful and knowlegable.

I have done Lap and Vaginal AI with my Icelandic sheep. The results vary from 50% to 90%.

Fertility results are variable to poor, must be done by trained techs (laproscopic) at additional cost, semen is high (when compared to cattle and swine) and ram choice is limited.

All that being said, if you have just a few ewes, or if you are looking at a minor or rare breed or one that has recently been imported it might be economical. If you are raising standard breeds I would recommend a ram or find a breeder close by that would breed for a fee.

    as always, YMMV :)
