Did someone really think it is a good idea to have advertisement that cannot be closed covering the alerts so that it is not possible to read them?

If you're on a computer try "control -" to reduce the page size and you might see the X to close the ad.
That happens to me a lot on another site.

Thanks, but the ad is situated so that it is entirely on the screen and a little bit of the alert column is visible but not enough to read or use it.

In that case I'd log off, delete cookies and temp files then log on again.
I'm not seeing any ads at all.
Maybe if you can post a screen shot of the ad it can be deleted

Hi there - yes, a screenshot would help quite a bit. I haven't run across any ads that have done what you are speaking of in a good while. However - I'll keep an eye out in the mean time.

I've actually had that problem but it it tends to arise when I'm using the full site version on my iphone. Is there a chance this is happening when you're using something with a smaller screen?

Hi, I'm seeing an ad that is overlaying other parts of the page.
