We have a particularly weak hive. It was attacked by skunks earlier this year. We remedied that problem, but the hive has struggled ever since. We located the queen and there is brood, but very little honey or pollen. We are feeding the hive sugar water now. It just occurred to us that it would make more sense to sacrifice an extra super from a strong hive than this poor little weak hive. But can we take a super from another hive that has plenty of capped honey and put it on top of the weak hive to provide more food? Would that be accepted by the weak hive?
Thanks in advance,
Penny
