My harliquin buck has looked almost like he was developing a dewlap for a few months. He was kinda depressed and didn't eat very well for a few weeks. He got kinda skinny but seems to be over that. His coat is kinda almost crusty?? Yesterday wheni went out to feed He has a large (~ 2") lump on the side of his face. I was thinking it might be like an abscessed tooth. He has never had teeth problems before. Any suggestons on what it is what I can do and if it could be contagious? Any help whould be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of trying to draw out fluid to see if it is a abcess.

Draw fluids. If it contains pus, then cut the abcess open, clean all the pus out and clean it every day until you stop getting pus.

You have my sympathy too. Unfortunately by the time most rabbits appear to be sick, they are too far gone for us to be able to help them.
