The following is from Joyce Sequichie Hifler's Volume III "A Cherokee Feast of Days"

"You are capable of doing great things. Don't let anyone or anything convince you that you are weak and inept. Not true. You can do more than you think you can, and you can overcome all the barriers that have been raised against you. Never see yourself as unable to do any thing. Someone says that fat has overtaken them and there is no hope. Deny it. Tell yourself the truth--that you can do all things. And never promise ourself that "some day" you will have control. You have control right this minute.

Adjust our thinking, and above all change what you say to yourself. Words are so important, more important that anyone realizes. If you want to be free of exess weight or any other hangers-on, say you are free. Keep saying it. Say you are different from every other person, because you are distinctly different. Tell yourself you are not hungry, and soon your appetite will begin to adjust. You have the key to success right on your tongue. Use it."

Well said, don't you think?

Thank you Marlene - I like that.

I also like Richard Bach's quote "argue for your limitations and sure enough....they're yours!"
