A Homemade salve

    I appreciated that link below to Rawleigh products, thank you.

    I used to sell this salve to show horse/cattle owners as a scar remover --- for whatever reason it will grow hair back in scars amazingly fast; also it works on lots and lots of superficial wounds.

    For What It's Worth:

    1lb lard
    1lb beeswax
    2-3 tablespoons of calamine POWDER --- use a good, hefty amount.

    Heat very gently until combined and jar it.

    I don't know it's history but an older Indian woman gave it to me forty-years ago.

    I googled calamine powder and found out what it was but can't find a supplier. :bash:

    Any suggestions on where to buy it? Or is it called something else in the stores!!

    Sounds like a great recipe to have on hand.
