I went out this morning to get into my 1997 3.3 liter Dodge carvan and the battery was deader than a door nail.

I hooked up the charger and the cooling fan(s) started. I took the cable off the battery and am trying to charge the battery now.

I assume the fan never shut off and drained the battery. The wires to the fans were free and not pinched anywhere. Where is the sensor that controls the fans?

Look for the temp.sending unit at the bottom of the radiator, it is probably gone bad.
