I am looking at getting a 1978 F-250 for the running gear. One thing I saw on first look was the front break dust shields/backing plates are rusted away. Does any know where I can get new ones? I came up empty looking online and the junk yards are a waste.

    Thanks
    Buck

i just found http://www.junkyarddog.com/ by googling.

    according to their add...
Junk Yard Dog ® is the Premier Internet site for finding used auto parts. Although we specialize in used auto parts, you can also locate used truck parts, used farm tractor parts and used parts for RV's, ATV's, Motorcycles and Snowmobiles. Buy used, your auto will like it.

i would also try Hemmings motor News... someone in there will have them..

and JCWitney as a last resort

A thought came to mind on the way home from work this morning, I wonder if the backing plates off my 76 F150 would be the same as the 78 F250??
