I don't have much space, and was wanting to do the 3 Sisters planting. I was wondering if anyone here has ever done this in a 1/2 wine/whiskey barrel? Any help, suggestions, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have one tip for you. This year was the first time I planted 3 Sisters and I did it wrong. I planted everything at the same time. Should have planted corn first and let it get a good head start before planting beans and pumpkins. The corn is growing, but is being overpowered by the beans and pumpkins!

I haven't had good luck, but then I never have with pole beans. Honestly, I try them every year and get barely any beans and stringy growth. Agree that you have to give corn a good head start. I start my squash separately, too.
