There are just the 2 of us living in our house.
Our new home is about 6 years old.

All of this time, the second bathroom has been a "work in progress".
Its sort of been a family joke amoungst our 5 children and their spouses.
But, last week, the plumber arrived and we now have water to that room.
We each have our own "throne".

The antique claw foot bath tub looks great.
The grandchildren marvel at its depth, and they love playing with the fancy faucet with the wand that resembles an old time telephone.

    The invitations have gone out.
The "official FLUSH Party" has been scheduled to coincide with the Super "Bowl" Sunday.
    All T.P. will be provided!

    We LIKE our new bathroom!

With all this celebration and joy, who knew there could be a down-side to having a second bathroom?

    But---about 7 p.m. last evening --- it HAPPENED!

    The telephone rang.......

    And, then it rang again.

By the end of the 3rd ring, we were beginning to realize there was a problem!

There was NO ONE "available" to answer the phone!

    :D

Obviously, the plumber forgot to install a phone in the bathroom! I'd demand my money back :)

Gonna have to take the cordless with ya, or work out a potty/telephone schedule. :p You know sometimes there are obstacles in life we just never thought we would have to deal with, I guess this qualifies. :)

 That's so funny, Tallpines! Good job getting the project done! We should install a phone by the (only) bathroom door at this house. Then when the phone rings, one of the people standing in line could answer it. :)

LOL...too funny. This from someone who has been living with a sawdust toilet and outdoor showers since May..but will have a "real" bathroom next month hopefully. :) Love the party idea...how cute.

God forbid that we miss any calls, might be Publishers clearing house with your check.
Sorry, I guess I'm showing my age, but that WAS funny.
Doesn't any one remember the "party line"?
P.S. is possible to just get a cell PHONE any more?
P.S.S. Love the party idea, when the toilet was first installed at "The Place", (real plumbing) BIL and I let fill with water, then stood there drinking beer and flushing

I once stayed at a Hilton in San Bernadino, CA. The room included a phone on the wall right between the commode and the tub/shower. I never did take advantage of that ammenity...

I've wondered about phones in hotel bathrooms. I keep telling myself that I'm sure they were installed in the event a guest fell and couldn't make it to the bedside phone.

Bathroom phones should come equipped with a 'potty noise' filter, however.

seems like you could get radio locks on the bathroom so that only one was ever unlocked at one time...

Most of the bathrooms I wallpaper these days has a phone in it. They're about as big as my living room so they really need one in there cause they would never make it to one in the bedroom before the voicemail picked up.
