Uncle Sam is considering sending DS to a very very warm environment. In search of small things to help make life more bearable, what would those of you in the know think about this 26 qt softsided 12 v cooler with a thin film PV rollup panel?

Dimesions 15 x 18 x 9 inches
Oh, and as far as the thin film PV- any recommendations??

Yes that's it. Sorry my link didn't work. I thought that if they are on water discipline, it might be easier to drink the gallons of water if they were cold and maybe falavored with something.

I made the mistake of buying one for my truck...if you look at tiny fine print-it keeps things 15-20 degrees cooler than surrounding air-okay if it's 50 out....not good if it's over 70...

Along with the ambient temp issue, . . if its the peltier(sp) effect idea those things take a lot of electric current.
They are just fine while the car\truck is running but they keep on wanting 4 amps or so--any time that they are running. So they can knock a "car" battery down real fast.
