I picked up 2 cut male piglets this past Sat. They are between 50 and 60lbs. One of them started to break out in pink bumps all over soon after I got him home and they are still there today. The other piglet doesn't seem to have the same problem, maybe a few mosquito bites. I thought it may be mosquito bites as there are a lot around my house this year but there are too many bumps. He is eating, mostly rooting and will come running up to me when I go around the pen. The place where I got them suggested bedding or sun. I did put hay out for them but he was getting them before he got in the hay and there wasn't much sun.
Any suggestions?
I'd go easy on the dope. Looks like straw stab, give it a couple days. Your herd is best off with natural recovery anyway. Lots of strong herds posting here.

Vaccinate both for eryisiphilas. If the affected one starts to get weak in the back end treat with antibiotics. Frankly if it was my pig I;d start them now.
They are both doing great, eating running and playing. The bumps seem to be going away on Curly, Piggy never really got them. The shavings seemed to helps.
What do I treat Erysipelas with? Like I said he is fine and not showing any other symptoms.
Yesterday I got home and they had finally eaten all the food I had given them and Curly was in the pan waiting for me.
Pig is better. Gave him some penicillin and that seems to have cleared things up.
Thanks for the suggestions and advice
