If you still have kids in the home, take 5 minutes to explain what Memorial Day is all about. Chances are those 5 minutes will give them more than they were taught about it in school.
I agree we do flags on graveyards with our grandson. We do the old farm ones for forgotten vets. The ones that are over the river and through the woods Some have not been mowed in years last year we did over 70. I know it does not sound like much but we work hard at it. Berry briers and all.
We got our small community cemetery cleaned up last weekend. I have great great great family members buried there. We placed small flags on our military members along with flowers everywhere else. It’s a beautiful place and it’s a family tradition to do this every year.
I want to add my thanks to all the men and women in the military past and present and for the sacrifices their family members made. Special thanks and prayers to all who have lost their lives serving our country.
