The easiest way is to have one person lay the lamb on it's back in their lap while holding all four feet and have another person apply the band. It only takes a few seconds most of the time. It's also a good time to do ear tags if you're using them.
Premier carries good tools and they don't have to be expensive to get the job done.
I give a Tetanus Antitoxin shot and soak the bands in alcohol so they are sterile when applied.
I have ordered some netting and will cordon off a 180' by 75' space that includes a covered pen and feeding area for the rams.
