A report released by the FBI in April underlined the necessity of the Second Amendment, pointing out that nearly half of the incidents in which active shooters were confronted by citizens, the incident ended with an armed citizen successfully stopping the shooter.
'Stopped' is a controversial thing. I don't agree with it personally at all but there are anti-gun that argues when ever a person kills themselves it doesn't count as 'stopping them'.
Think about this way. Now we have 1,822 news outlets competing for your eye balls and wallet. Days past we had 3. The 3 competed but they were somewhat content with their 1/3.
Competition bred the snake pit we have now.
