At my Yvonne's sisters house this morning. They are expecting it to rise another 6feet before it's over.

I made it over White River in S. IN and along the road that runs beside it yesterday but I bet I sure wouldn't today because the water was just an inch or two from the road.

Best wishes for your sister in law and family. It's just devastating having your home ruined whether it be flood, fire or tornado.

They got most of their stuff moved up to second floor, but I have a feelin I can get you a good deal on a used pool table once the water recedes! The house itself should be ok as long as the water doesn't make it up to second floor. Its all concrete structure on the lower level. This too shall pass. Just a bit unhandy at the moment.

I am sorry to hear about the trouble with the flooding. I wanted to share what the title of your post reminded me of....and maybe it will at least bring a little smile during time of trouble

"Can't go home if you're goin' by the mill
Cause the bridge's washed out
At the bottom of the hill
Big Creek's up Little Creek's level
Plow my corn with a double shovel"

Willie and Bobbie look amazingly young here! They still look amazing as far as I am concerned, just nice to see them young!

Thanks for that. Gotta love willie! He's living proof that good nutrition, getting plenty of rest combined with good clean living in general keeps a man in great shape! He was in pretty good shape back then and half a century later he's still going strong. Trigger? Well maybe trigger hung out with too many scallywags, looking a bit used these days. :)

Is this a new thing?
Ive always wondered how houses get built where they will flood without taking flooding into account.
A few years ago a local church sent a mission to help rebuild a 70 year old mans barn.
Sounds like a worthy goal but after it was nearly done they met the mans kids who didn't help and found out he was a millionaire and used the barn to house part of his tractor collection..........
