A new month and a new thread.

Dollar Tree - my wife’s favorite store. She says she needs to check all the isles each time we go to town every other week as you never know what they have.

Today she found a pair of noise cancelling ear muffs - for $1! The package says they are good for 18db.

I use ear protection all the time while running the tractor, weed trimmer, etc. My ears have got so bad I need them when I run the shop vac now also. So tried them out with the shop vac today and they worked great! The head band is plastic so don’t know how long they will last - but hey - for a buck?

I’m lucky I guess that I rarely have to buy clothes. A pair of jeans lasts me at least 4 years. I have 2 pair - one for going to town and one for around the homestead. When the town jeans get a bit ratty they become homestead jeans for the rest of their lives.

I only wear one type of shirt which is kind of expensive at $20 but also last me for years. Carhartt Henley t-shirts in tall. I can’t stand to wear anything that doesn’t fit right plus I can’t stand to have a regular collar around my neck.

I wear shorts whenever possible which is about 5 months of the year. I buy them (like cargo shorts I guess) when Walmart starts discounting them toward the end of summer. They cost less than I can buy them from Goodwill.

All we have is the one Goodwill store which is nuts with their prices. Men’s shorts are $6. We have no thrift stores anywhere.
