Indoor car show sort of a kick off to Flint's back to the bricks. These pictures were taken on Friday, 2-9-18 during snow that dumped 9 inches on us.

Venue is the Dort Federal Credit Union event center home of the Flint Fire Bird's hockey team of the Ont. Hockey league.

Boy do I feel old. Beautiful cars. Black Cherry was my favorite color. My first car was a 56 Ford - convertible. Black, white convertible roof, red and white interior. I thought I was fine stuff back in those days. ;-)

No not all the cars were owned by Flint people. Steves camaro is a Davison township car.
The truck and black Chevy wagon is from Addica Mi.
There were 3 from up in the thumb, Unionville the guy and his friend that has our Buick painting it, Not shown, One from Shephard, Durant and other places thru out the state.

Of course the Buick Proto types are from Oakland county GM proving grounds.

Lots of car collectors in Michigan, many made their living in the auto plants. I do believe there is some one who will collect even the lowly Nash Ramblers, imported English stuff also .
Will start off with a couple projects. a 66 dodge and a 59 Ford. they are in good shape compaired to where some have started from.

Ford F1

Olds 442 rag top.

Another Chevell, in the summer I don't take pictures of Chevells, Camoras, Mustangs and very few Vets. There just so many out there, only differences is the personal touches like the wheels and paint jobs.

Very nice GMC.

Chevell rag top.

A rail even.

Chevy Malibu.

Beautiful 32 just finished 2 weeks before the show.

This one came from Mt Plesant drove down on Thursday before the snow started. The owner wanted you to know all the details, and it was not a trailer queen. Said the gull wing door took 5 months to figure out and make them work.

If you go to car shows in the summer if the owner has a note book or some thing take the time to look at that too. You will be amazed at what went into making the beautiful car, really some one took that hunk of junk and made it like new again.

Another beautiful old rag top.

Pontiac that isn't a GTO.

Ford Falcon Ranchro.

Zambonie. Used to smooth and repair the ice at hockey games between the periods (3) and at the end of the game. there is ice under most of the cars in Arena A.

Chevell again.

Ford Rag top.

Great old Dodge PU.

Dodge Dart.

This 32 was painted 28 years ago and recently sold. the wagon in the back ground was also painted 20 some years ago. they were what drew us to have the guy paint our Buick which should just about be finished.

So that is all but a couple cars that made it to Chrome and Ice 2018. Next year we plan on having out Buick there.

We will be attending many shows this year Port Huron is high on our list, about all of the ones in the Thumb of Michigan except Frankinmuth, We will go to St. Johns north of Lansing and the fall cider mill up US 27.

So if you see our newly painted Beautiful Buick stop and say hello and look at our easel.
