I am coming up blank on a few people I want to buy for. I need ideas!

Just a point for those who are so inclined....don't get someone the SAME thing every year. I have a box of Christmas coffee cups in the basement because TWO members of the family buy me a coffee cup (and sometimes two apiece!) each year. As a benchmark, my oldest coffee cup is about 25 years old, and I have several that are 20 years old. I am NOT clumsey and only so many coffee cups will fit in a kitchen cabinet!

Perhaps this will place us in the Scrooge category but the best gift we ever received (or gave) was when our family decided that the adults did not need Christmas gifts as we were all well placed in life and it just added stress and a needless financial burden to a time that should have been about fun and family. And thinking about others. We donate and/or band together to contribute to charities instead. We continued to buy for the little kids - but very reduced in quantity - until they reached the age of 12 and then they became part of the charity givers being able to choose their own charity to support. At first we were worried that the kids would be upset but I guess we are all doing something right as they were not.

My daughters bought me a firewood cart thing from Plow and Hearth years ago, and it's been the best thing since sliced bread. I use it to haul wood from the porch to the stove all winter long.
