Let's all be honest about it. From the time we are kids there's always some minor things like being stuck at the wobbly card table turned "the kids " table and sitting across from our cousin who likes to gross everyone out by playing the see food game as they masticate their food opened mouthed before swallowing and laughing as all the others at the table yell "Mom!".
As we get older the see food fool gets replaced by new things we hate about the day like the relatives who plop on the sofa and undo their belt and unbutton their pants or such and the things sometimes stay the same or change every few years.
So let's have some fun and share some of the things about the holiday we could just as soon live without and how we solve them.
For us the things we hate is GF doesn't like the cooking and clean up and I really don't like driving in the crowds on the roads, loads of screaming kids or turkey because it's my normal staple meat when cooking here at home for myself.
I solved both of our problems a few years back. Her disdain for hard labor holiday cooking I solved by ordering the turkey and sides for her, daughter and the two grandkids from a local café and having it delivered to her house.
For my disdain of the crowds on the roads , I go to her house across the interstate the day before by way of the back roads adding an extra 10 miles to the trip to her house and order delivery for myself from Pizza Hut (and yes I order extra because every year the turkey eaters add some of my pizza and calzones to go with their standard turkey plates.
So what are some of the things you don't like about the holiday and how do you solve it?
