Are there brands you continue to buy even though the price continues to go up ?
One that I can think of for here is Folgers coffee. I have tried other brands and
just cannot tolerate them. Hubby can though. So we use at least 1 pot of coffee
per day and maybe a second pot later in the day. I use 2 scoops for first pot,
and then add 1 scoop for the second pot.
The only thing I'm a little bit brand loyal about is Dawn Dish Detergent, however, I buy it on sale and stock up because if I had to buy it at full retail - I'd buy something else. I do favor brands that have fewer additives - so Daisy brand sour cream vs. something with lots of unpronounceable ingredients. However, it's not the brand, it's the ingredient list I favor. If I find two brands with simple ingredients, I buy the cheaper one.
Yes on the Dawn for this household also.
I do buy a Walmart brand for $ 2 for dish soap that I swear is Dawn but packaged for the Walmart store brand.
That is the current bottle I am using. It's concentrated. I did try the little bottle for $ 1 from the Dollar Tree Store
but that Dawn is regular and not concentrated.
If you need peanut butter, let me know.
send son to store for me.
dumb me wrote peanuts and butter on same line with 8 besides them.
so he brought me 8 jars of peanut butter. Got total of 18 jars now.
Still don't have peanuts nor butter. lol, my fault though.
Tide detergent and Hellman's mayo are the top two. I prefer Finish Quantum Max dishwasher detergent but I'll buy something else if it's not on sale. We've only bought coffee online through Coffeebeandirect.com for years as well.
Kraft "real" mayo only because I like the taste and Dawn because I some times use it as a degreaser. Other than that hummm, more than willing to try other brands of "stuff" if only once..... there are a whole lot of store brands that qualify as tried once, that I'll pass on....
Another Heinz ketchup fan here, plus Hellmans mayo, Sunlight dishwashing liquid, Purex laundry tabs, Robin Hood flour and Campbells soups. I always buy any of the things on this list when they come on sale, even if the sale price is still higher than other brands regular or sale price.

LOL. If my mom put 8 jars of peanut butter on a shopping list, I would have at least asked what the heck she was planning to do with 8 jars of peanut butter.
I did not know about the rewards program I'll have to look that up. But it is good no great litter. I started using it for a handicapped cat I needed to keep in my bedroom and kept using it for the main bathroom litterbox .
We don't buy much but there are things we won't skrimp on or change brands. If cheap enough, we will try other brands, almost always go back to our favorites. Most are not big name brands, most are store brands. Many are just what we have grown to like. I have spent a lot of time tweaking a recipe to make something myself, like homemade Miracle Whip and Mrs. Dash. Hate it when they quit making something we really liked. Haven't seen Western Family BBQ potato chips for a long time, the kind that came in double bag boxes. DS and I did find a store in Albany that sells Western Family but no BBQ potato chips. We don't just buy because it is cheap, cost needs good value, price needs quality. We buy what we want, we just don't want much. Sometimes what we want is cheap, Rustlers jeans and Dr Scholls shoes for me....James
Canneries here run the same product day after day, different label. DS grows carrots, beans and corn, one cannery, 23 different labels. Used to be a dozen companies now 3, selling to all the same stores....James
I could write a long list!! Heinz Catsup, Miracle Whip, Dawn, Finish dishwasher detergent, Northern Toilet Tissue, Ball Park Franks, and on and on. I do use a lot of coupons on things I buy regularly and shop for sales.
Must have Brooks Ketchup, which is getting harder and harder to find, and Brooks Chili Beans.
Van Camps Pork & Beans.
Northern or Charmin tp but no generics.
Lipton Tea Bags.
Red Gold not made from concentrate tomato juice, it's just so much better. My aunt just happens to live in the same town as the Red Gold plant so I try to stock up in their "scratch & dent" store on the rare visits up there.
Will not buy the store brand of bread or buns. Not all that picky on which kind otherwise but usually buy Sunbeam bread and Colonial buns.
Kraft American Cheese slices, even the dog won't touch the store brand. LOL Their other cheeses are fine though.
Eckrich bologna.
That's about all I can think of for now but there's probably more. There are others that I prefer a certain brand but will make do if it's not on sale. This list includes Premium Saltines and Folgers Coffee.

My husband has to have Premium Saltines too. We don't buy store brand (or Aldi- except for their Seedtastic bread) or rolls either.
