Well my name is Charles. I have been raising hogs since I was 16 when my dad bought his first yorkshire hogs and charged me with their care. I took 3 years off trying to be rebellious and traveled around the U.S. traveling from Florida to Pennsylvania and out to Missouri Where I finally settled in the the hills of Tennessee. We currently have 10 sows and 3 boars. I seem to be pretty good at buying up other people's rundown livestock bringing them back up to par and reselling them. So basically rehabilitating animals. I have 4 dogs and 4 cats. I am a father of 3 kids plus one on the way and I built my own home from the ground up. We are canning our garden currently have 2000W of PV power we where off grid until a lighting strike on 9/2017 and almost lost our home. I'm a jeep fan I ran for mayor 4 or 5 years ago. My grandfather and father where both military I personally never made the cut, but still have the do or die never fall back and always push forward mentality. I was a scout so I am well aware on how to survive out in nature. I Do hunt but only for two reasons when my family needs food I don't believe in trophy hunting or when something is not respecting the fence and taking my livestock. I am a accomplished tracker I have found things in our local forests that locals don't even know are still alive around here. Like red wolves, black bear, and large cat. I have not set eyes on the cat but all the signs are here. My favorite book is Back To Basics and am currently working through Storey's Guide to Raising Pigs by Kelly Klober.
