Hi Arnie, my name is Jason I live northwest of Chicago and am currently a member of Operating Engineers Local 150. I seen a recent post of yours saying you're a retired union man from this area and did roadwork. I was curious/noisy what trade you where part of, my local started offering early retirement around '08 as well.

Hi Arnie, Thank you for your commonsense advice - it's hard to explain the situation I'm in - I can't have the calf bawling because the new neighbor has tried to get my zoning changed & sued me to get rid of the animals - the calf has now been quiet & hidden from danger. I have another question, though. Momma cow has been kicking for 2 days - last night she was covered in little bumps on her skin - I moved the hair away but didn't see any red bumps - thought they were fly bites. When I got down to the udder, her teats looked like they were covered in mosquito bites - or hives. Could she be allergic to something? Is this a serious condition? Can I give her an antihistamine (benedryl)? There isn't a cow vet in the area (he retired) & I can't afford it, anyway. I hope you can help - I'm not using the forum anymore - those people are HARSH! Thanks & I hope you don't mind the direct questions - you sound like you know what you're doing! Thanks again, Christine
