rusty rabbit cage

    hi everyone, i have a rabbit cage that is quite rusty on the bottom. can i still use it, or fix it some how, ie paint it?

    Don't paint it. You can purchase wire to replace the floor, it is quite simple.

    I agree. Replace the floor.

    hummm, never thought of replacing the whole floor, i have extra wire in the barn.....

    I've used galvanizing spray (Rustoleum) in a pinch, and then replaced the floor as soon as I could. I'm not sure how it would work long-term. I've used it on the 'body' of the cage without problems.

    Since it is the bottom of the cage that is in question (e.g., "rusty"), I strongly recommend replacing the wire... unless you prefer to encourage sore hocks in your rabbits? LOL I think not.
