I found this dehorner at jeffers http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc...Q8WQJ3L3LHC8GDT8VSMCT0KN9E03B91&pf_id=0029537 I seems to make sense, a smaller tip for small goats. Has any one used this? I need the input of experience and wisdom before I purchase! Also I wounder if some one with experience could show me how to disbud. I live in Hall Co. NE GA. I will (God willing) be able to supply the baby goats and dehorner.

    Thanks!

I have a Rhinehart 40X with a goat tip.I use it on nubian and mini nubian kids with no problems...might need a smaller 1 for tiny nigies but works fine for me.
I'm no where near you but do get someone to show you the first time.

Worthless. It is much too small for any goat. Use a regular goat tip, it will work fine and you'll be sure to get the entire horn bud. :)

I have the Rhinehart X50 with the pygmy tip. I've used it successfully 4 times on 3 Nigerian Dwarf bucklings and a mini-mancha doeling. Never had a scur yet. I'm very happy with it.
