Have you done this? If so, I want to hear about it. Is it worth it? How many people should you expect to be doing the job? What tools do you need as a bare minimum? Are we crazy for even thinking such a thing? DH wants to purchase a cow, and process it himself. I am a little skeptical, but if we can do it successfully I am willing to help. We already do our own pigs, goats, etc. so not totally new to butchering, just seems like a cow would be a whole different story. Obviously, people used to do it themselves, and I'm sure we could too...I just want to know what we're getting into I guess.
