I have always liked red Kool-aid. I would like to know if there are any health concerns with drinking Kool-aid? By health concerns, I am not talking about sugar. I have used fresh apple juice as my liquid which provides all the sweetness I need.

My question is about the Kool-aid without the sugar. Is mixing and drinking Kool-aid a health concern?

It's an acid, so you may be getting too much acid in your system.

Umm ....perhaps the fact that it's full of artificial colors and flavors? I'm sure there are other odd preservatives as well.

Take a look at whats in those 'artificial colors and flavors', not stuff you want to be putting into your body.

I never ever fed that garbage to my kids. Won't feed it to my grandkids, either.

    Nasty artificial stuff

    Hey.

If you're worried about drinking it, use it to dye your hair.

    Health concerns?

Certainly not. It'll keep your insides nice and pink.

I like grape Kool Aid. I figure it will probably amount to knocking and hour and a half off my life if I live long enough for it to have an effect. If I live that long I'm sure I won't miss that hour and a half of drooling or waiting for my diaper to be changed.

Some folks are allergic to the red dye used as food coloring. One of my co-workers get sick to his stomach after eating/drinking anything made with red food coloring

red food coloring is blamed for some bad reactions in kids. my brother was on The Feingold diet for many years as a child, basically eliminating all food additives. the only legit thing I noticed as far as reaction to additives was associated with red dye. I think the diet is extreme, but there are some legit reasons for avoiding some additives adn your not going to hear about it from the government or the companies selling it.

That is interesting as I never saw a police report. I always supposed it was some sort of poison in the Kool-Aid that killed all those folk.
