Also, if your medically disabled, you should apply for social security disabilty. It takes a while to get it, so need to apply ASAP.

Karen, I'm all over that. My attorneys are doing most of the legwork-it's been an uphill battle because alot of SSD judges don't recognize my disease as a disability. If they had to live with it, it might be different, but it is what it is, right? So, we pray alot and prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. See what you guys teach me?

Ninn,

I feel for you. I even got a denial letter that stated I was indeed disabled but they felt I could go back to work in a year. Can you believe that? I applied in September, so I have a ways to go in the system. I have 5 of the ailments that they recognize as disabling, and they still denied me. Hope you get yours soon.

I'm not holding my breath, FG. The government is broker than I am, and they just keep spending. It would be nice, but I can manage without it if I have to. And I think I should just assume that I have to and be pleasantly surprised if I don't. I've been fussing with them for nearly 7 years, so I am used to making do. Now I'm getting ready to be able to live instead of survive or exist when stuff gets really unpleasant around here. I'm even prepared if we have to move out of state for DH to get work again next year. Anything can happen and it usually does............lol. I just want to be prepared.

I'm open to babysitting, and have a poster up, but am not holding my breath. It's a pretty depressed area.

Fordy~nope. no disability yet. my last hearing judge informed me that he doesn't believe in fibromyalgia. I told him that if he woke up with it, he'd sure as heaven believe in it. Imagine waking up at 32 and feeling like you are 90 years old!

I just work my way through whatever can be done and let the rest go.........lol.
