Internet Tracking

Man, I never knew how much they really tracked you online until yesterday.
I mean, this was kinda nice since more and more people are online and not in front of a tv but its still scary....lol

There was a big storm to the north of me and it was producing funnel clouds so they put out a Tornado Warning. Next thing I know every website I visited the ads were replaced with the tornado warning(Not just weather sites). It's kinda nice they did it but it goes to show you how much they track.

My mother complains that she will search google for something, and for the next two weeks, every ad she sees will be for that product.

I've seen the same thing. It stopped when I started clearing my browsing history and cookies at the end of the day.

It's called "localization" I believe. Don't want to be tracked? Don't use google. I switched to DuckDuckGo.com and don't use google for searches anymore. Too much intrusion.
