Here in N. AL. the weather guys are saying weekend good, but watch out Monday - that's when this should be around Huntsville area. But, I'll watch the radar myself.
Thanks for the heads up.

I'm right at the edge of the "thunderstorms" and the "grab your ankles" area...I'm still going to ensure I have all the stuff I've been putting off together into my "tornado BOB" and make sure I got my stuff tied down.

My biggest fear is the lightning. We've already lost one calf to a lightning strike so I worry about my animals...and if a tornado came...ugh, it would be so hard to not go out and turn them all loose! But I know people come first...especially my kids.

Try this site. Click on the cars and you can find out what they are reporting. A blue box will come up also and you can click (or double click) on the names and see what they are chasing and hear their comments.

Storm heading my way...the county west of me is under a severe thunderstorm warning but on the radar it looks like the storm is weakening.

Praying for everyone's safety!

So far, so good here. We have a Squall line of heavy storms on top of us now. But, They don't seem to threating at this time.

Our mid-night cloaked storms, thankfully, did not develop.

Do we have anyone here in that area? I know a few are nearer Oklahoma City, but do we have any members pop to mind for anyone in the Woodward area?

I am so glad that its over.... We have alot of damage in the surrounding towns by us, and of course Witchita has suffered quite abit of damage...Just so glad it didn't hit us directly. We spent the day going over our emergency plans, we were as prepared as we could be, and i think we learned abit too..
Praying for the folks in Woodward Ok.

Our barn door got sucked in on top and part of our home insulation was sucked out of the attic into our upstairs. :/ We were SO glad that we had the weather radio. If I EVER move again I'll be sure to have a good BASEMENT! I am not generally afraid of storms but 8 babies and only the snake-y cellar to go to makes me feel nervous! It was so windy last night that when we arrived home my dh could barely open our front door because the windows were open in one room of the house and the suction was so great from that. We are blessed to be alive and well. My Aunt in OK (near OK City) is ok, but I have heard back from my little niece and nephews daddy to see if they are ok in Salina

It's so early in the season and already bad again. I'm not in an area affected by the tornadoes but so many of us on HT are. Makes me wonder if there isn't some sort of "network" we could set up. I know many here have been directly or indirectly affected by tornadoes. What can we learn from those experiences and what if anything can we do as a community?

Sittin here in a camper watching the radar. Got a big red blob heading our way. Tornado watch in effect until 8-9pm. Looks like it will pour for a couple of hours so I'll be getting wet going out back to swap the hose from the gutter to different barrels as they get full. Temporary set up. We need the rain bad but not the wind. We're down to our last 55 gal barrel of water from starting our garden, trying to keep those seeds and seedlings moist took a lot during that warm spell.
Gotta go start tearing down a house this week in exchange for the materials. Then we can build our cabin. 50mph makes the walls flex in this thing.
