Exclamation Out of the wild Alaska

Have any of you folks seen it? I seriously 2 days ago ended up hooked and watched the whole thing in one day. I stayed up Till 3 am. Here is a clip
I watch it on next flix. I liked it cus it shows people who think in shtf they will just go out and hunt and eat like kings. You watch these people starve almost to death. There was no joking here. Their skin went yellow. Their eyes turned black and sunk. I felt so bad for these people. I kept watch praying things would improve.

I don't have regular tv. So didn't get to watch then. I loved seeing them fail. All the people who think " hey when shtf happens, I'll get my gun and go hunting" you have to know the seasons and how the animal move and react. I'm glad they were showing people fail miserably. I kept screaming at the tv about what to grab for teas to help with Vitamins. Guess they didn't teach that In survival school. Oh well.

getting tired of all the "stuff" on TV. People upset me when they think they know it all..like the fellow that thinks he is "amazing" at..everything ?? Pride goes before a fall...there are many people..a lot of them on HT..that do real survival everyday on their land and homestead for very real survival. These people are playing house and will certainly learn that it is a true hard life to live off the land.

We watched and enjoyed bashing also. That being said, I would not willingly, go from living in TN my entire life, to suddenly being dropped into AK where I had no experience in surviving in that locale. I know my limitations, and the cold would kill me, or make me want to die pretty quickly...lol.

I started it last night.... I can't say that I could have done any better... We were yelling a few time at them do this or that which was funny.
They must have scared all the animals off, because they kept saying that it was full of game... we are really enjoying the show... Thank you.

When was this show on? I feel like I've seen it, but the people don't look that familiar. Was there another series with different people?

I do remember a show like this where they took different families to Alaska and had them survive for several months. One was a family with kids, and they got a cabin near the beach. One was a couple who got just a tent. I can't remember the rest but I really liked it.

The first season of Out of the Wilds they took Four groups of people to four locations and they had to collect enough firewood, food and such before winter hit to make it through. A man and his two daughters were in a cabin at the mouth of a bay, a man and his girlfriend occupied a cabin further up in the bay, three younger friends occupied a cabin up a river and a married couple a 200 sqft cabin high above a glacier. You can find them all on YouTube. Season one, season two in Alaska, then a couple seasons in South America

Thanks for posting it! I am just amazed at the stupidity..taking a shower in the cold outside?!?! Have they never heard of sponge bathing? Still modest when they are probably toileting behind bushes on the trail..makes you scratch your head. I wasn't too surprised when the 2 experienced people dropped out- couldn't blame them for thinking that staying would get them killed or injured.

Doesn't look like they learned to suck marrow out of bones either, and disposing of some things that could have been cooked and eaten showed lack of knowledge or just squeamishness.

Someone please ask me to do one of these trips , They always seem to pick the most unskilled people .I would not only survive I would thrive and be quite content in the process !
