Which Battery Types Are Best??
Which of the battery types is best - Lithium Ion, Nickel Metal Hydrid or Ni-Cad??? The use is for a Handheld 2 meter radio??

Lithium Ion - Highest energy density per pound. Lowest self discharge rate.

Rechargeable Lithium Ion. We got ours from Radio Shack.

And can easily be re-charged with a small solar charger to any level as they do not retain a memory......
