Free App on Survival

This is for anyone that has an iphone - there is a free app called "survival guide" available. I haven't read it yet but it seems to be a military guide and covers everything from surviving at sea to ropes and knots to watching the clouds for weather. It also has actual pictures instead of sketches of poisonous and edible plants and poisonous snakes.

I love the Scanner Radio! My boyfriend is a Deputy Sheriff and the Scanner Radio is right on cue. He will be home for lunch and a call comes in, the Scanner Radio app is only a few seconds behind. I have been able to follow the calls he was on when he gets called out and/or I get worried if he is okay with some of the calls.

I found the free police scanner on an iPhone app also, I didn't download it yet so I have no idea how good it is.
There are so many good apps that are free - just type in what you're looking for and take your pick.

Trouble with the scanner apps is they're only for selected markets..... where someone is 'hosting' the local scanner traffic and posting it. It would be sweet if you could obtain whatever traffic is in whichever area you happen to be in at the time...
