When Worlds Collide - Tea Party Calls out SEIU

Downtown Atlanta may not be so good of a place to visit on Wednesday afternoon at 4pm.

Or it might, depending upon your frame of mind. Were I the type to mind my own business and avoid trouble I'd probably stay away. Were I the type to cause a ruckus I would probably attend and be ready for war.

In another thread we were discussing what the danger was in being unexpectedly caught in a protest. This might show somewhat how things are escalating.

What is the SEIU and why are they protesting?

You know what's really scary? I read a snip about Libya this morning, how they are leaving dead bodies, humans that have been shot and murdered, IN THE STREETS. Their crime? They 'supported' Kadfi.

Humans, murdering each other, because they 'don't agree'.
It enters my mind like this "I love President ____. I totally support him." then "Oh yeah, well he's a dum dum" then "OH YEAH NO HES NOT" then "Oh yeah, well you're stupid, pop pop pop".
And one takes another's LIFE over some idiot who doesn't even know (or care for that matter) YOU ARE ALIVE!!!

Human's that are 'emotional and passionate' are scary folks. These are scary times.
I NOW see why I would avoid such a rally / riot / event.
Too many dang crazies out there.

The Service Employees International Union. They have been caught on tape at demonstrations and rallies ganging up and attacking opposition demonstrators. In one notable film clip, three burly service workers beat an old man because he called them parasites. They are using leftover campaign money from Obama's 2008 election to be bussed around the nation on a show of protests, claiming "solidarity" with the strikers in Wisconsin.

As to the rest of your commentary, if you're not emotional and passionate, what good are you? Put me down on the scary folks list.

When the times get crazy, the crazy get going.

Emotion is wonderful when accompanied with values. IMO, those without values, whatever their belief is at the moment, are the ones to fear. One can get very angry but values, example human life is precious, gives boundaries. We have more than a generation without firmly seated values also known as morales.
I guess that is why I stay away from crowds more and more. Not sure if that is cowrdly or wise.

I guess I should have said "those who are ruled by their emotions and passions and put them before common sense, respect for other human beings, and property".

I am too, passionate about things (like my kids) but I do not let a hot head and a big stick 'rule' over my common sense and respect for other humans.

I TOTALLY enjoy talking with you!!

If everyone agreed on everything, the world would be a boring place.
People must learn to disagree without becoming violent.
I often agree to disagree with people.

DH is in Atlanta and will be coming home tomorrow. Prayerfully he'll be well on his way home before anything gets out of hand.
