MAybe I should buy a lottery ticket!

Went in to the bakery for feed bread for my bull....the pig farmer already had his van backed up...so I greeted him and asked if he was buying it all and he said yeah and his son said no....but then when he came in for the last carts he offered me one...THERE ARE KIND PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!! So I paid for my feed bread thanked him profusely and went on down do CVS...for more tuna 2/$1

I hit up the magic coupon machine and it spits me a $10 off $50 purchase and looky there my DAK hams are in for my raincheck...
6 hams
6 chunky soup
2 instant potato
2 Easy mac (not something I would usually buy! a treat for the kids)
10 tuna
3 no yolks pasta
4 instant oatmeal

$31 OOP...$7 ECB's printed

Then Rite aid was calling and so I stopped in...I had $21 in up$ and a pocket full of change.

2 betty cr. frosting

2 almond snickers

after coupons 21.92...use 21 up$ and .92 oop
it printed $19 up$

next purchase

after coupons $4.65 used $4 up$ from previous and 65c change oop
printed $2 up$

So I still have $17 up$

I know I go on and on about this but it is saving me a fortune and building a nice stockpile...

Here I was thinking that I got the deal of the day, during my trip to town.

Looking for some 'cheesecloth' I stopped into my local family owned hardware store, and found several deals there. Canning jars and supplies @ 1/2 price. So I got a few more cases of jars, and many packages of lids.

Then there were the pile of boxes containing Duck/ Geese 'Steel Shot' magnum 12 gauge shotgun shells on clearance. I got to talking to the staff that I have known for years, and bought several boxes of #2 shot, #4 shot, and BB shot - water resistant magnum loads at the store cost.. Some were marked at 15.99 to 17.99 per box of 25 rounds at $8.00 per was my cost. Heck I can't buy a box of 25 rounds of everyday loads low brass #6 lead shotgun shells, for that much..

I may have to look in the sales papers, and maybe make an extra trip to town this coming weekend.

We hit the flea market:
-Leather military gloves and wool liners, 8 bucks.
-A belt mounted day pack I'd been wanting, $15.

Then the Goodwil Store:
-New good brand dress for my wife, $4.95.
-Radio, AM FM SW, 2 bucks. (2 d cells, works fine)
-A couple 12 volt plugs and cords for our alternative setup, 2 bucks.
-Pack of 3 broadheads for deer season, 3 bucks.

Surplus Store:
-A couple Cordura pouches that fit my Gerber multitools, 4 bucks.

radiofish...not sure what you are doing with cheese cloth but for actual cheese making applications I prefer what's called a bar mop...usually with dish towels...they have a closer weave..

For cheesemaking I much prefer the " Flour sack cloths " that are available at my local Wallyworlds in big packages or at another farm/feed store.
Large white cotton cloths that are fantastic for so many things.

cheese cloth there are few ways to go , the dairy , has a disposable cheese cloth on a roll great stuff

old pillow cases work well , bleach and turn inside out

muslin = conton fabric sold on the bolt at the fabric store usualy white or natural

the stuff that comes in a package in the painting isle of the home store that has absolutly nothing to do with making cheese but looks like the gauze that didn't pass QA inspection, used to apply varnish , stain and other finishes to wood.

I was looking to stain wood, before I apply a poly-urathane coating or two. Or I might apply a marine grade varnish finish instead, so I'll need to think about that tomorrow while woodworking..

I could always use a rag, or some sort of brush, but I am old school and that is the way my grandpa showed me to apply wood stain long ago.. Gotta give that Doug Fir I am working with some decorative coloring.

It also makes a good 'tack rag' for taking lint, sawdust, and such off of a surface before finishing it, without buying the more expensive 'tack cloth' treated stuff at the hardware store..

I could have used/ cut up the heavy cheesecloth material 'game bags' that are used for holding and keeping clean/ insects off of quarters of field dressed elk, moose, or an average sized deer. I got several packages of those off of Ebay years ago, but every now and then I use one on a deer while it is hanging..

If I lived down in the bottoms near one of those dairy farms, I would try my hand at making cheese.
