Longevity of medicines?

Okay, in preparing for LONG TERM survival...if you know someone who is a functioning member of society and an important part of a team, has a lot to contribute etc....BUT they need a pill everyday of their lives just to wake up in the morning how do you make that happen? How do you stock up on that kind of stuff and what is the expectancty that Canada will continue being able to sell us drugs should TSHTF?

No, you don't sound stupid. No one learns anything without asking questions (if they do it costs them time, money and many mistakes).

Really, the odds of being able to store up enough meds to last the rest of a person’s lifetime are not conceivable. The amount would be staggering, and some meds have short shelf lives. Some even become hazardous when they go past their shelf life. Depending on what the health issue is, one might look to see if there is a nature source for treating it (such as herbs, minerals, etc).

you will need to find a natural medicine (herb) that will approximate the drugs. But even with that the person will probably not live a full lifespan if this pill is all thats allowing them to wake up every morning.
I have high blood pressure and my wife is diabetic - there are natural herbs that can help, but neither of us will live to a ripe old age without our drugs -- people used to die early because of both - its a fact of life, high blood pressure causes strokes and heart attacks if not treated and diabetics lose limbs and fall into coma's and die if untreated - they have for thousands of years, its only been the last couple decades that we've had effective drugs.
Its sad to know that if TSHTF, my life expectancy drops 20 years and my wifes drops 30 years.
