prayers for our 7-week-old grandson
Please pray for our 7-week-old grandson. He was diagnosed with RSV and ear infection yesterday. RSV can be fatal in newborns. It is an upper respiratory infection that really diminishes breathing. He is having breathing treatments 4 times a day and is on an antibiotic. He went back to his pediatrician this morning to see if there is a change. He is slightly improved but needs a watchful eye on him. This is a scary situation. Most babies end up in the hospital with this. Mom and dad are scared. They also have a 3-year-old son who probably passed the germ on to his brother. Thank goodness they do not go to daycare. I am fortunate to watch them while mom and dad work.

So will I. Those little ones look so fragile and we grandparents always worry. RSV is quite common and I trust he will be fine.

An update on our grandson Lincoln: He is slightly improved. He has been sleeping a lot. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns. We appreciate it. I will keep you updated through the week.

I am sorry I missed this. I will pray for the little one. Ours had RSV (20+ yrs ago.). MD wanted him in the hospital. He said they would put him in a tent with a vaporizer.. Told him we could do that at home. Built a plastic tent around the crib, set up a vaporizer and off we went. Hard to beat the love of family. Best medicine there is.
