Bacon Conspiracy????

I was looking at the local grocery ads this morning. I noticed every store had bacon on sale. Well, We don't need any, but if the price is right what the heck.
On my second run through the ads, I noticed the bacon is sold as 12 oz packages now,,,,What,,No,No, I want my bacon sold in pounds......Then I turned to the all-knowing interweb to find the answers.

I made this shocking discovery......

It's inflation. They can either raise the price or make packages smaller. Either way, you lose.

No it is not a bacon conspiracy at all.
No what is happening in packaging is helping inflation. Ya Right.
But the NEW Word for that is called Shrinkflation
And it has been going on now for quite some time. Notice how small TP is now~!
Even Ice-cream is no longer sold in a 2 quart container. It is 1.75 QTs.
And of course that 5 lb sugar has been 4 pounds for Years~!
No it is not a bacon conspiracy I didn't even waste time opening it up, My time is worth more~!
Or how about this one. I have not seen it yet in the stores but I KNOW it is coming.Bacon Conspiracy???? - General Chat

And guess what by doing the can like that the amount is 11.3 ounces --- Not 12. LOL

Ever notice how some store have cases of soda on sale and now that case is NOT 24 but has 20 cans in it?
Ever buy single serving cans of tuna? Went from 4 OZ to now 3 OZ.
'
And you can NOT BUY a Bath Size bar of soap anymore~!
The Bath Size was 4.5oz.
Now you are lucky to find that same bar of soap at 4oz
And the smaller bars that WERE 4oz is are now 3.8 oz barely big enough to be called a Bar Of Soap~! Pretty soon those small sizes will be the same size as you get in Hotels. LOL
And those are just some of the products I know of that I buy. LOL
I am sure that many others out there can post many other products that have now jumped on the bandwagon called

SHRINKAFLATION

Bow tie can

Budweiser bow tie can have to cost more than the little bit of beer that is missing and when had in town they were cheaper too.So think it is a marketing thing .Guess what it worked I bought the beer cause thought the cans were cool . Also they thicker aluminum so I am sure they were not make more money on them .

But just think how many times you can multiply that .3 oz~! And how many millions of gallons over time can add up to a Huge Savings in the long run. And all it takes is one machine to make the Squeeze happen to make it that shape.~!
That is why many companies now shrink what goes in, by even a small amount can add up big at the end of the year.

PBR? Didn't know they still made that swill. It's funny how the brands come and go through the years. I remember when PBR was the top selling brand in this part of the country. Then Schlitz took over for a few years followed by Stroh's. I liked both of them but they lost market share to Bud. I never cared for any Budweiser product. Even Miller isn't as popular here as it used to be but I still prefer it on draft. Dos Equis is good bottled beer but too expensive.

They were made in St.paul,mn if I am correct. Schmitt closed about 1999 ?

I think the beer is made in New Alum, MN now.

I'm a fan of cheap beer but no PBR for me.

Youtube: Scuzz twitty (don't mess with my PBR) Its a good video.

Same here I remember going into Iowa and picking up a few cases of COORS and putting them in the tack area of my horse trailer on the way back to WI.
After all That was the whole idea behind the Movie
'Smoky And The Bandit'
Bringing COORS East of the Mississippi. LOL
Now I don't think coors is that good, but I do drink coors light though.

As a side note: Back in the 60s-70s the San Diego you either liked Coors or Olympia . There was even a biker group throughout the western states known as "the Oly's"!

the price of every food product is going up - they sell it for a higher price, or sell it in smaller packages for the same price to compensate.
