Is it really Spring where you are?

Minus 7 this morning and plenty of snow still covering everything. The photo of the boat harbor on Mackinac Island, taken this morning, shows Lake Huron still frozen over. Everyone can still travel to the mainland across several miles of thick ice, by snowmobile or bicycle. It has been a very long cold winter.
Is your snow gone?

Looking out the window at the front pasture still half covered with snow. Temps 15-20 degrees below normal and snow expected tonight. The sheep are giving me nasty looks as I'm sure they blame me for no green grass. Simple answer- no, spring is not here yet.

Sunny and 66 degrees here today. I do really feel for you though, I don't know how your far northerners make it through the brutal winters.

I've got pregnant barn cats, a mini donkey who is sure he can mate with my full sized donkey and a male goat going all 'Captain Yellow Beard'....Spring is in the air.

Love the picture Haypoint. Snow is gone except where it has been piled. The ground is still a little solid. Have a good spring.

I can smell the fragrant Mackinac Island Fudge.

It's been an early spring most of this winter.
Peach and cherry trees are blooming. I just know Mother Nature is going to play and we'll have a late frost or a dusting of snow to kill all the blooms as a couple years ago we had snow in the middle of April.

Most definitely! Haven't seen below zero temps in 2 weeks. Nights in the low teens aren't bad, really. It's snowing, but it's a spring snow, honest.

Don't rain on my parade.

More of that white stuff on the car the last 3 mornings. Guess I shouldn't have shaved to get rid of the winter face just yet.

Spring has sprung finally in northern MN. 8 degrees this morning, snow has settled to 2 1/2 feet on the level. There is another dump on the way, but this time it's rumor. That's the surest sign, when fact becomes rumor.

Normal spring here. Ice is off the ponds and all the snow is gone. Trees are starting to bud and Easter lilies are coming up. March is always variable with the old lamb/lion thing. It warms up to about 70 or so and a cold front comes through and crashes the temps a couple days before it warms up again. Rinse and repeat. The long range outlook is calling for about 70 degrees next week. Early mushrooms on the sand will begin to pop up and the season should be in full swing by the middle of April.

32 here this morning and it is 10 O' clock with rain/snow predicted for today and tonite. Had a dusting yesterday, so I would say spring is not here either. I think it got lost on the way to us. Good luck to the northerners with all the ice and snow you still have. Hope it don;t thaw and cause you flooding.

We have the same fishing statue, did a rod come with it or do you guys use a stick?

Last year I said Spring doesn't come until April/May, it's moved over a couple months. At least it sure doesn't follow people's version of spring for everyone in the country. I'm sure different areas get their seasons different times.

Our weather is quite deceptive. Bright and sunny but the towels hanging on the clothesline are quite frozen. Mid winter temps expected for the next few days. However daffodils, tulips, and garlic are beginning to come up. Crocus and snow drops are blooming.
