Excellent! Mr. Clumsy here always fumbles batteries when changing them and gets the good with the bad mixed up. This will come in handy.

My brother sent me a link to that a while back. The science behind it is very iffy. At best, the chemical reactions might be causing the end of the battery to expand slightly. However, note that there are two different manufacturers who might have different designs.

The meter in the video is regularly available for free from Harbor Freight. I have two or three of them hanging around. Instead of questioning whether or not a battery is good, I just toss in a box and then go through them sometime when I'm in the mood.

The easiest way to check double or triple A batteries I have found is to stick one of them in my wireless mouses . I have 2 wireless mouses & 1 takes a double A & 1 takes a triple A . Both have a light in the bottom . If they won't power a mouse it's time for the trash .
Granted , I think they can be too weak for higher drain applications & still power a mouse but they always get finished off in a mouse before being trashed .
